Artist StatementEd practices as an architect in London, whilst sketching and painting for pleasure. He uses a mixture of mediums on board stone and marble to create his unique and exciting art.
Ed uses reclaimed slabs of marble to create artwork, so no two are alike. He uses paint to create pieces which when combined with the natural patina and wearing produced over time, creates interesting layers, like ghosts from the past.
Ed has exhibited in several London galleries and some of his images have appeared in print publications. His professional training as an architect is evident in his drawings and paintings of buildings and landscapes and he enjoys stretching his talents with life drawing.
Ed has produced pictures for Sussex and East London pubs, London churches, Goodwood House and personal commissions.
Ed has twice designed artwork for pint glasses used in fundraising, including an etched panoramic view of Southwark Cathedral. His work is admired in private collections throughout the UK.
