My professional life as an artist started in Vietnam four years ago where I worked in public spaces creating murals. I set up a community workshop teaching graffiti. This I also introduced to school curriculums.
I’m currently working on a series of large canvases depicting figures. I use spray paint and acrylics to create a powerful spontaneous image in which line and colour play an important part. Writing graffiti has influenced my contrasting colour choices. My constant practice of working with spray paint has given me a facility with line and texture that has increased my freedom of expression. It is important to me that my work gives a powerful and immediate impression.
